DFDS Logistics - Scotland

DFDS Logistics Scotland is the largest provider of transportation services to the Scottish salmon and seafood industries.

The main warehouse facility is located in Larkhall, near Glasgow. This is supported by two satellite warehouses in Aberdeen and Boulogne Sur Mer, France.

Our Larkhall facility is a custom built distribution centre comprising of 5000 m² of chilled storage space, serviced by 29 loading bays. This unique facility also boasts a state of the art cold store, with a 1,600 pallet capacity.

From our site in Larkhall we make daily deliveries to all major fish markets and distribution centers acrross the UK and Europe.

We differentiate ourselves from our competitors by having the flexibility to offer customer focused solutions to any transportation request, whilst maintaining the highest quality service and most importantly delivering on time and at the right temperature. Our service provision is further enhanced by utilising our vehicles to offer a return load service to
locations within the UK on a daily basis.

Enhanced Service - Blast Freezing

We now offer all of our customers the facility of freezing chilled product to a temperature of -18 degrees centigrade in less than 24 hours. In addition to this we also have the capability of tempering frozen product back to a chilled temperature under controlled conditions.

Distribution in Scotland

Our Larkhall facility offers a full distribution network service for Scotland, including the Highlands and Islands providing dedicated service to the retail and wholesale market. This is complimented by our retail trucks which offer a service for ambient, fresh, frozen and high value goods. This includes a cross docking service for both ambient and chilled products.
